During this project I learned about the Siege of Candia, my group chose Candia because it is the longest recorded siege in history. Whilst studying and writing about the Siege I learned may thing like how one of the Ottoman captains got killed by a falling mast, and how the war ship was destroyed by an on-deck explosion, but those all are little tid-bits. I set off to learn about an over arching theme of how the Siege Candia effected modern day, and it was fun to connect events and learn about the rich history. My group and I created a launcher and a castle, we used our launcher to shoot at other peoples castles, and they did the same back during our exhibition. (Photos of products can be found in the included links) Even though we had some problems with our launcher during exhibition it was amazing to see our ideas we sketched down on paper get turned into a real functioning product that we can actually use, and I'm defiantly glad that I created this product. The exhibition was an enjoyable experience because I got to finally show of what my group and I been working on for this whole project. I participated well during the exhibition and I think I did pretty well, but one thing I would improve is our launcher got worn out from testing use and random people in the halls firing it so the hinge had trouble firing because of a screw breaking.
In conclusion, I think the exhibition went great and I got to finally show off my products to people outside of our school.
